The task of taking a song with the nostalgia and legacy of the “A-Team” theme would be too daunting for many producers, but Al-P isn’t one of them. He took the challenge head on (in celebration of the new film due out June 11th) and the results are nothing short of awe inspiring. Check out the making of the track above and the trailer below!

If the Beatport charts are any indication of the response being given to the EP, then I would say things are looking pretty great! The LA Riots Remix, Original Mix, and Blende Remix are charting on the “Indie Dance/Nu Disco” charts at #15, #17, and #19, respectively.

Our friend, Bird Peterson, has had a hectic week! First, he releases his new EP “The New Sexy National Anthem” on Teenage Riot and then with a little help from out friends at Mad Decent, rolls out an epic mix tape in the form of “Drankenstein”. On the surface, this could be seen as a zany pairing of trance instrumentals and Dirty South acapellas and nothing more. In actuality, it is a dynamic showcase of what can happen when an outside the box idea is executed to near perfection. Bravo Bird!

Long time sooth sayer and musical provocateur, Bird Peterson, has put together a fascinating EP in the form of “The New Sexy National Anthem EP”. Both tracks showcase Bird’s astute way with unique song structures and on the accompanying track “Actin’ Up at Zenobias”, some very clever vocal production gives a throwback vibe to the whole track.

I highly suggest you grab hold of these tracks, seeing as they are the perfect accent to any DJ set. You’ll thank him later.
